In 1971 Dr. Stipanuk received his master in meteorology from the University of Illinois Champain.
Dr. Stipanuk received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine as a James Scholar in Chicago in 1997.
Dr. Stipanuk received his PHD EE (all but dissertation) from the University of Illinois Circle Campus in 1977.
Dr. Stipanuk completed his residency training at Michigan State University Program in East Lansing, MI in the specialty of Internal Medicine in 1980.

Dr. Stipanuk helped Great River Medical Center kick off the hospitalist program. Once the program was implemented, it has not stopped evolving and growing. The hospital has seen an increase in admissions resulting in better care for the community. Dr. Stipanuk serves Great River Medical Center on active staff and as Department Chair of Medicine/Family Practice. A highlight for Dr. Stipanuk is his involvement in information technology. He has written and implemented his own software for electronic records.
Dr. Stipanuk provides 24/7 hospitalist coverage for Great River Medical Center. The patients primary care physician will admit a patient to observation or inpatient. Dr. Stipanuk will round and treat the patient (consulting with the primary care physician) while in the hospital. Once the patient is ready to discharge to return home, the patient will be discharged back to the full time care of the primary care physician.
