Employee of the Month - Cheryl Bishop

MCHS is very proud of Mrs. Cheryl Bishop. She was nominated and selected to be the MCHS Celebrate U employee of the month for September. Cheryl is based at SMC Regional Medical Center working in the Environmental Services department. Cheryl can be found working throughout the entire facility. She helps keep the facility clean and the patient rooms turnkey. Cheryl has been employed with the hospital system for 10 years. She is a true example of employee excellence, stated supervisor, Doug Davis. Doug also shared that most recently, I was a person short to cover a shift, I called Cheryl and she quickly got ready and drove to the Blytheville facility and really helped the EVS team out. Cheryl is very dependable, such a pleasure to work with, and I know Cheryl will get the job done.

Cheryl is part of our compassionate team, CNO, Felicia Pierce said. She has such a way with the patients. Every job at this hospital system has some form of patient interaction and the patients enjoy Cheryl. She tends to their needs and goes above and beyond to ensure her responsibilities are completed so that the team members of the hospital can treat the patient.

Cheryl enjoys working in Environmental Services because she enjoys her workload, she loves the patients, and her coworkers make the days very pleasant. When not at work Cheryl enjoys her free time traveling around to different gospel singings. On Fridays she can be found watching wrestling or volunteering to be a cook. She also enjoys traveling to Bella Vista to visit her daughter. Cheryl has 5 kids and 18 grandkids. Cheryl made Osceola her home back in 1973 and she loves her hometown. When asked, "If you could be any animal, what would you pick and why" Cheryl chose a german shepherd. She has one at home and she really embraces the idea of protection.

Cheryl is an outstanding employee. MCHS is a better environment because of her hard work and dedication. MCHS Celebrates Cheryl Bishop because she makes a difference.
